Born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, on December 10, 1950, Philip lived a life marked by dedication, service, and a profound love for family and community. He resided in Paragould, Arkansas, where he touched countless lives through his work and passions.

Philip served his country honorably in the United States Air Force, where he was stationed in Taiwan during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he pursued a remarkable career in education and counseling, armed with his Doctorate of Philosophy from the University of Oklahoma, he served as the Director of the Counseling Center at Arkansas State University for over 20 years. His artistic spirit flourished in many ways, from playing guitar in the band "Blues Heavyweights" to playing praise and worship at his church, Westview Baptist Church, where he was a charter member and a Deacon.

His insatiable curiosity drove him to explore a myriad of subjects, and he was often found with a book in hand, constantly seeking to expand his horizons.
