Philip W. Kelly, 70, of Birdsboro, PA passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021 at home.
Philip, a son of the late Robert F. and Laura M. (Dalida) Kelly, was born in Norristown, PA on December 8, 1950. He is survived by his former wife, Linda Zimmerman, and their children Theresa L. Kelly and Richard P. Kelly, husband of Jennifer Z. He is also survived by brother Robert F. Kelly, husband of Janeene; and three sisters, Patricia Kelly; Maryann, wife of John Giova; and Laura Lee, wife of Michael Morris; as well as cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Known to most as Phil, he graduated from A.D. Eisenhower High School in 1968, moving onto the Air Force shortly after – serving from 1969 to 1973. With his training and knowledge from years spent in the Air Force, Phil was hired by Shared Medical Systems (later bought out by Siemens) where he worked for 29 years as a Lead Network Analyst.
He was a man of few words with a very witty, dry sense of humor–often saving perfect one-liners or jokes for months on end to make them land in surprising fashion.
Combined with his eclectic taste in music, and knowledge of a wide variety of topics he had absorbed over the years, Phil made for a great Jeopardy opponent which he enjoyed nightly. Phil was an avid reader of history, how-to books, and everything in between. He also enjoyed the tranquility of gardening, camping, canoeing, and kayaking.
"Though we're apart, you're part of me still." Blueberry Hill, Fats Domino
