Philip Ray Kiser, Sr., 84, passed away on Tuesday, March 10th, 2026. Phil was born to Asa Leo Kiser, Sr., and Beatrice S. Kiser on April 24, 1941, in Sherman, Texas.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents, A.L. Kiser, Sr., and Beatrice Kiser; several of his siblings, A.L. Kiser, Jr., Betty LeHoullier, John Kiser, Sr., Shirley Mauney, Zela Carol, Baby Boy Kiser, Sandra Kiser, Charles Kiser and Ted Kiser, Sr.; nephews Chris Fincher, Terry Kiser; and niece, Tracy Kiser.
He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Kiser; sons, Philip Kiser, Jr. (Amy), Mark Kiser, and John Lindsey; granddaughters, Hope Schatzmann(Aaron), and Kara Kiser; great-grandson, River; siblings, Linda Norton (Ronnie), Henry Kiser (Bonnie), and Janet Abney (Morgan); and numerous nephews and nieces.
Phil cared deeply for his family. He always helped look after the younger siblings and made sure each did what they were supposed to do. Growing up, he was active in The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club, playing baseball and basketball. He also went to church at The Salvation Army and took some of his younger siblings with him.
He was a hard worker. Even before he graduated from high school, he had a job and contributed to the household. Phil was later employed by the United States Government and retired after over 25 years of diligent work.
Phil loved treasure hunting at estate sales, collecting clocks, playing racquetball, and above all- loved his family.
His graveside service will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park on Monday, March 16th at 11:00 a.m.
