Philip LeBlanc Obituary

Philip E. LeBlanc
1938 - 2024
Springfield
Philip E. LeBlanc, 85, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2024, at Baystate Medical Center with family by his side. He was born on October 9, 1938 in Springfield, to the late Emile LeBlanc and Alphonsine (Goulet) Arsenault. He graduated from Technical High School, in Springfield. Phil then joined the military where he served on the U.S.S. Parsons. He was employed by the United States Postal Service in Springfield and retired in 1996. He was a communicant of the former Our Lady of Hope Church, in Springfield, where he ran the 500 Club raffle for many years. He also volunteered his time as the treasurer for the Celtics Youth Athletic Organization. Phil had many passions. He was an avid reader of books, an amateur photographer and enjoyed gardening. Phil loved old movies and music, liked to dance and play the game of chess. However, he loved spending time with his family most of all. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 40 years, Marie (Silver) LeBlanc, step-father, John Arsenault and sister, Elona Avery, of Waterford, CT. Phil is survived by his two sons, Philip LeBlanc Jr., of Springfield and Michael LeBlanc and his wife, Marlene, of Westfield. He leaves his beloved granddaughters, Madeline, Olivia, Hannah and Felicia. He also leaves his sisters, Constance Minnie, of Wilbraham, Mildred Leroux, of Agawam and Rita Spencer, of Longmeadow, as well as a brother, Reverend Maurice Arsenault, of MD. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 4-7pm, in Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St., Westfield. His funeral will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 10am in the funeral home, with Rites of Committal to follow in the Committal Chapel of the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam, MA.
