With heavy hearts, we share that Philip James Leone passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, after a long struggle with health complications. Philip's life was a testament to kindness, resilience, and love. To know him was to be touched by his warmth, his humor, and his unwavering loyalty to those he cared for.
Before illness altered his path, Philip worked in a variety of roles, including as a groundskeeper at Monmouth Park Racetrack and as a print head technician at Depot America. No matter the job, he approached his work with dedication and pride. But it was outside of work that Philip's true passions shone brightest. He loved fishing-whether by the ocean, at a quiet lake, or along a riverbank-and found peace in the stillness of nature. He was also a talented artist, able to see beauty where others might not, and translate it into creations that reflected his unique spirit.
Philip's greatest gift, however, was the way he loved people. He had a genuine heart, one that celebrated the joys of those around him and offered steady support in difficult times. His kindness was never performative-it was simply who he was.
Philip is survived by his devoted wife, Melinda Leone; his loving parents, Patrick Leone Sr. and Lucille Leone; his brother, Patrick Leone Jr.; his sister, Karan DeGraw: and many other beloved family members. His life may have been cut short, but the impact of his love and presence will endure in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A Memorial Visitation will be held Thursday August 21, 2025 from 5:00-7:00pm at Fiore-Buckley Funeral Home 236 Monmouth Road Okhurst, Ocean Township, NJ. 07755
