Theresa M. Sorrentino Burke, 86, died October 19, 2025 in Beaverton, Oregon. She was born on
July 18, 1939 in Long Branch, New Jersey. She lived in Long Branch until she got married and moved to West Long Branch where she lived for more than 50 years.
She was predeceased by her parents, Dominick and Josephine Sorrentino, her husband of 49 years, Edmund Burke, her son Michael Burke and sister, Gloria Flaherty.
Surviving are her sons Edmund (Bobbie) Burke and James Burke; grandchildren Aquarius Burke, Olivia Boland, Kayla and Jillian Burke, Alexis and Bryan White; brother Dominick Sorrentino (Hope); and many extended family and friends.
Theresa helped found the St. Vincent De Paul food pantry and was very involved in her church, Holy Trinity. She loved her family, friends, nature and animals. She was a kind and selfless person and will be missed by many.
Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 am on Wednesday at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Long Branch. Entombment will follow at Woodbine Cemetery in Oceanport. For condolences, please visit www.fiorefuneralhomes.com.
