Philip Rose Obituary

Philip Rose

September 5, 1934 - November 23, 2024

Philip Rose, age 90, died on Saturday, November 23, 2024.

Phil was born on September 5, 1934, in Fond Du Lac, WI, the only child of George E. and Jane (Decker) Rose, Jr.

Phil is survived by his first wife, Joann L. Fiebig (Rose) Ostern, and their children, David Scott Rose and Susan Marie Rose; one or more grandchildren; and five step children: Linda, Kathy, Mary, Michal and John Detroy.

Phil was preceded in death by his parents; his third wife, Marjorie N. Detroy; and stepson, Marx Detroy.

At Phil's request, his body was cremated. There will be no public funeral, visitation or burial services, also at Phil's request.

Remembrance donations may be made to the Sun Prairie Public Library or Wisconsin Public Radio, in memory of Phil's late beloved wife, Marjorie Detroy.

Special thanks to Phil's longtime patient advocates, Debby Deutsch and Nancy Arnold of Patient Care Partners. Also sincere gratitude to Bristol Hospice, especially Courtney Harp RN and Ron Urban MSW, and their team.

Phil was a gentle man who cared deeply for the welfare of others. He will be missed.
