Philip Sampieri Obituary

Philip Salvatore Sampieri
Philip Salvatore Sampieri, formerly of Bridgeport, and a resident of Monroe, CT, passed away peacefully, in his sleep, on March 31, 2025, at the age of 89.
Born on June 23, 1935, in Bristol, CT, Phil was a devoted husband for 67 years to Rose J. (Vetro) Sampieri. He was a loving father to Mathew, Phil Jr., Michael (Candy), Vincent (Trish), and Kenneth (Rebecca) Sampieri. Phil took immense pride in his role as grandfather to Mark, Jenna (John), Olivia, Alexis, Vincent, Josephine, Sebastian, Justin, Taylor, Michael, Santino, Nicholas, and Stacey, and as a proud great-grandfather to Marcello, Keirnan, and Delaney.
Phil was predeceased by his father, Philip Sampieri Sr. (Lucy), his brother-in-law, Ed Boyle, his sisters-in-law, Mike Fasano (Lily) and Mathew Vetro (Jeanette), and his beloved aunt and uncle, Joe Keegan (Millie). He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Vera Boyle, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Phil was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was an avid golfer and a dedicated UConn Women's basketball fan, proudly supporting his team through thick and thin. He left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him, and his family and friends will deeply miss him.
Phil's Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, April 4th, at 10:30 AM, directly at Saint Theresa's Church in Trumbull. All other services will be held privately. For travel directions or to sign his online guest register, please visit www.ParenteFuneralHome.com .

My deepest sympathy to the Sampieri family.
Growing up just one street over on Pleasantview Avenue, I didn´t know Phil all that well back then-but later, working with him at Coldwell Banker, I got to know him much better. He was truly special-a great guy with a big heart. I´ll miss him.

My condolences for your loss. Growing up in the Charcoal Pond neighborhood, Phil was like a second father and big brother. He loved sports and always had tine to teach us and even play with us. As a fellow realtor, it was always a pleasure to have a transaction with him. His character, honesty and professionalism was evident. He was a great man!

Phil was good in every way. He was a good son, a good husband and father, a good realtor and a good friend. Phil represented us in six real estate transactions and they may not have succeeded without him. He was like a junkyard dog with a bone in closing those deals. We have lost a good friend. Rest in peace Phil. Dave and Mary Ann Brangaccio
