Philip N. Travaglini, age 74, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2025 surrounded by his loving family and friends at his home in Glen Mills. Phil was born and raised in South Philadelphia to Nicholas and Mary Travaglini and has resided the past 29 years in Glen Mills, previously residing in Chadds Ford, PA. He graduated from Bishop Neumann High School in 1968. Phil then went on to receive his BS in accounting from Villanova University in 1973 and earned his CPA Certification in 1975. He worked for Haskins & Sells/Deloitte as a CPA before he began his career in the banking industry. Phil went on to have a long successful career in banking, becoming the CEO of Sentry Federal Credit Union and later the CEO of Boeing Helicopter Credit Union. Phil was also an active member of the community, participating in an advisory role in multiple community agencies.
Phil had a passion for sports. Whether it be playing golf, tennis, basketball, going to the gym, or watching Philly sports teams, he devoted his life to staying active and playing the games that he loved. Phil was a gentle soul with a big heart, and a beautiful voice. He could always be counted on for a warm smile, sage advice, and a song to bring light into any room.
Phil is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Patricia A. Travaglini (nee Smith), 3 sons, Philip (Jennifer) Travaglini, Anthony Travaglini and Nicholas (Lindsay) Travaglini, a brother, Joseph (Gina) Travaglini, In-laws, Donna Smith, Gil (Danna) Smith and David (Maureen) Smith, and 3 grandchildren, Philip, Ava and Dominic Travaglini, an aunt, Rosemarie DelVecchio and mother in law Marie Foltz as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and a host of friends. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 7th from 9-11am at St. Cornelius Catholic Church, 160 Ridge Rd., Chadds Ford, PA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Interment will follow at St. Thomas the Apostle Cemetery, Glen Mills, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Phil's memory may be made to either the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (www.PanCAN (Pancreatic Cancer Action Network).org) or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).
