Philip Anthony "Tony" Varner

Philip Anthony (Tony) Varner died on Monday July 28, 2014 at his home in Greeley, Colorado.  Tony was born March 13, 1981 in Gillette, Wyoming to Philip Alan Varner and Patricia Marie (Marshall) Varner.  Tony moved to Bozeman, Montana when he was 11 and graduated from Bozeman High School but maintained a special connection to Gillette.  He loved skateboarding, snowboarding, camping, hunting, and anything outdoors.  He recently changed careers and was working for All Around Roustabout in the oil fields in eastern Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Phil and Jeanine Varner and Elizabeth Marshall and great-grandmother Frances Irene (Nana) Halbert.  
He is survived by the lights of his life, his daughters Mesa Thornhill of Bozeman and Venice Varner of Greeley.  Also surviving Tony are his parents Phil (Buzz) Varner and Sandy Ratliff, and Patricia (Patsy) and Charles Ballek, his sister Kim Wenger of Sheridan, Wyoming, as well as his grandfather William Marshall of Gillette, and great-grandmother Bernice Nicolini of Pine Bluff, Arkansas.  Many special relatives and friends from the Varner, Marshall, Halbert, Hunter, Ballek, Nicolini, and Thornhill families are missing Tony. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Tony's life and spreading of his ashes to be held Saturday at 2 pm at Little Bear Canyon outside of Bozeman.
