Philip Craig White, 68, of Canaan Valley, passed away peacefully at his home on January 6, 2026. Born on November 5, 1957, in Elkins, he was the son of the late Harlan White and Carolyn Harman, who survives and resides in Valley Bend. Philip, or as most knew him as "Craig", spent his entire life behind the wheel, proudly hauling loads across the country for various companies, always with a quiet sense of purpose and pride in the work that kept him on the open road. What truly filled his heart, though, was the outdoors-he lived for those peaceful days camping under the stars, hunting in the crisp morning air, casting a line while fishing, and tenderly caring for his loyal pets. Craig had a special kindness for all living things; he never missed a chance to look after the wildlife that wandered near his home, feeding the birds and watching over the creatures that shared his little piece of the world. Some of his favorite moments were spent in the garage, surrounded by the music he loved, tinkering and dreaming as he prepared for the next big trip. Those adventures with his son and his dearest lifelong friend, Harry Harpster, were pure joy-filled with shared stories, easy laughter, and the unbreakable bond of true companionship. Craig touched so many lives with his gentle spirit and steadfast love. He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved by everyone fortunate enough to have known him.In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Kelley D. White, to whom he was married to on March 3, 1980; his son, and best friend, Josh White and wife Vanessa of Terra Alta; two grandchildren, Masen Hardesty and McKenna Hardesty; and three siblings, Allan Harman, Debbie Pritchard, and Donna Haney. Craig's request for private services will be honored. The Fredlock & Fenner Funeral Homes - Davis Chapel is honored to be serving the White family.
