Philip L. Yainske, age 90, of Wells, MN, died Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Father Eugene Stenzel will officiate and interment will be in St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery in Wells, MN. Philip L. Yainske was born August 23, 1923 to John P. and Elizabeth (Chirpich) Yainske in Dunbar Twp., Faribault Co., MN. On September 21, 1974, he married Alice B. Coady in St. Paul, MN. Philip farmed in the Wells - New Richland area. Farming was his whole life and he was passionate about it. He enjoyed fishing and hunting in his younger years. Philip also enjoyed dancing. Philip is survived by his wife Alice of Mankato; 3 sisters: Aurelia Kahnke, Margaret Kahnke, Lillian Bush; 3 step-children: Terry (Susan) Coady of Carlton, Cheryl Martin of St. Louis Park, Deborah (Boyd) Frazier of Minnetonka; 5 step-grandchildren: Brian (Nicole) Coady, Nathan (Molly) Coady, Shawn (Al) Pearson, Christine Martin, Jeffrey Martin; 7 step-great-grandchildren: Weston, Savannah, and Cheyenne Pearson, Bradley and Corabelle Coady, Parker Coady and Vivienne Bantz, along with numerous nieces and nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers: Romuald "Ray" and Marvin; 2 sisters: Esther and Maxine.
