Philip Lorin Young, age 73, passed away in Layton, Utah on Monday December 2, 2024. He was born in Layton, Utah on February 27, 1951 to Philip Baker Young and Afton LaRue Young. He served in the United States Navy.
He married Irene Sarah Young on January 1, 1982 in Layton, Utah.
Philip enjoyed going camping, fishing, watching shark movies, fixing things, collecting movies, and doing puzzles with his wife.
He is survived by his wife Irene, sister Denice, brother Rick, his children; Christine, Cindy, Richard, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Philip and Afton Young, his son David, and nephew Philip (P.J.) Young.
Funeral services will be held Monday December 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah. Family and friends may visit Sunday December 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary prior to the service.
Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 N. Monroe Blvd., Ogden, Utah.
