Phillip Campbell Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by A Natural State Funeral Service & Crematory on Dec. 18, 2025.
Phillip Rondall "Ron" Campbell, 83, of Jacksonville, Arkansas, entered Heaven's gates on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. He was known by "Ronny" by many of his family and earlier in life friends. Ron had a little over a year battle with stage-4 colon cancer.

Ron was born January 29, 1942, in Hickory Plains, Arkansas, to Dale and Hazel Campbell. He was raised on a dairy farm, where early mornings and hard work weren't suggestions, they were simply how life was lived. Those lessons stayed with him, shaping the man he became.

Ron was a devoted husband, a great father, grandfather and a steady provider. He worked tirelessly, carrying a deep sense of responsibility and determination in everything he did. He didn't always speak love loudly, he lived it: through sacrifice, consistency, and doing whatever it took to make sure his family was cared for.

Ron had worked for the Railroad and later started a used car business with his brother Jimmy Dale. Later Ron purchased a car lot in Cabot which became a very popular place in those days. It was "Ron Campbell Ford" whom he co-owned with his first wife Janice. Later he was more into property development, and he and Susan developed "River Crest Estates" in Maumelle, Arkansas. He also applied for a few patents of ideas he had.

Ron had a passion for cars, motor coaches, golfing, traveling, and fishing; only his biggest passion was the great outdoors and animals. He friended and fed many foxes, racoons, squirrels and many birds. He found a total of three mistreated pups whom he took in or found a home for. Ron also had a hobby singing karaoke and was rather good at singing some wonderful songs.

Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Susan; his daughter, Tammy; his son, Tim and his wife, Tammy; Shannon and her husband, Bruce, Shane and his wife, Mandy, and Nick and his wife, Belinda.

Ron is also survived by his grandchildren: Blake; Brittany and her husband, Jon; Karli and her husband, Mike; Korri and her husband, Jonathan; Brandan and his wife, Katherine; Samantha and her husband Bill, Brady; Annabelle; Austin; Braxton; Chris; Nick; and Justin.

Ron is further survived by his great-grandchildren: Aims, Atlas, Scarlett, Stella, Ryder, Tucker, Carter, Hudson and Madeline "Maddie".

Step-Mom-in-law, Doris Finch. Brother-in-law, Steve (Bobbie) Finch, son Jacob. Sister-in-law Rachael Campbell, son Dale Heath (Darla) children Marley and Dalee.

Step-father-in-law, William (Bill) Meyer, daughter, Patricia Ford, granddaughter Kaitlyn and Sheldon Zeltner and daughter, Doris Cragar.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Hazel Campbell, his brother, Jimmy Dale Campbell, sister-in-law, Belinda Finch, step-brother-in-law, Michael (Mike) Meyer.

A Memorial/Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at New Life Church, 8000 Crystal Hill Road, North Little Rock, Arkansas.

Ronny gave his life to Christ, and his family finds comfort in knowing they will be together again in Heaven. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. The love he showed, the values he lived by, and the life he worked so hard to build will live on through those he leaves behind.
