Phillip Estep Obituary

Phillip N. Estep, 81, of Ralls passed into the arms of Jesus September 29, 2025. He was born August 14, 1944, to Alton and Novella Estep.

Phillip was a 1963 graduate of Lorenzo High School and attended South Plains College. He was a farmer, trustee guard at Montford Prison, cowboy, participated in God's Country Musical, rodeo clown, and Pvt. 1st Class 25th Battalion U.S. Army in Vietnam. Phillip married Deb Moring and they have 3 children: Jase of Lubbock, Sid of Lubbock, and DeeJe Estep Byrne of Kress. Phillip married Brenda Woodard, and she died July 2024.

Phillip is survived by his three children, sister, Sherly Becton (Jim) of Idalou, stepdaughter, Misty Smith (Weldon) of Post, stepson, Mickey Brachers (Kadi) of Matador, 3 granddaughters, Brook Reinhardt of Benton, Ark, and Peyton Smith of Lubbock.

A private military graveside service will be held for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorials be made to a favorite charity.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Crown Point Health Suites Nurses and CNA's for their wonderful care. Also, the Veterans Administration for their compassionate care.
