Phillip J. Frank Sr., affectionately known as Mario, born on August 2, 1967, in Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on December 7, 2024. He spent his final days surrounded by the love of his family and friends in the city he cherished—Cleveland.
Phillip dedicated his life to his family, who include his beloved wife, Susan Frank, and their cherished children, Kimberly Morales (Matt) and Phillip Frank Jr. He was a doting grandfather to Jaxon and Amelia Morales, who brought endless joy into his life. He is also lovingly remembered by his sister, Anna, along with two caring sisters-in-law, Michelle and Karen (Dan) Bolles; and mother-in-law Hilda Munch. Phillip's legacy continues through his many nieces and nephews: Andrew (Sydney), Destiny (Rick), Giovanni, Donald, Quela (Jeff), Johnny (Kandi), Billy (Danielle) Norwalk, each of whom he held dear to his heart. Phillip will be dearly missed by his canine companions Khaleesi, Nina, and Leon.
Phillip was a passionate and devoted Cleveland sports fan, whose heart boldly cheered for the Browns, Guardians, and Cavs, and who fervently supported OSU football. His enthusiasm for sports was contagious, and his spirited debates and celebrations will be fondly remembered by everyone who knew him.
His proudest accomplishments were not measured in accolades or awards, but rather in the love he shared. He touched and impacted the lives of so many and will be greatly missed. To many, he was not just an uncle or a friend, but a second father and grandfather—a guiding presence that offered support, laughter, and unconditional love.
He was reunited in heaven with his parents, Edward and Maria (nee D'Ambrosio) Frank, and his brothers, Joseph, Jay, and Donald, along with his sister, Mary.
Family and friends are welcome on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111.
