Phillip Isensee Obituary

Phillip Warren Isensee, Sr., born March 19, 1935, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2025. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Mae Isensee.

He was the son of the late Robert Oscar Isensee and Mayme Marie Isensee.

Phillip (Phil) was born in Corpus Christi, Texas. He spent his childhood and early teens in Uvalde, Texas on the family's 1700 acre ranch. From the Ranch School he received his early education, not only from books, but the understanding of nature and his love for the great outdoors.

His parents retired to Asheville, N.C., where Phil spent his later teens. It was here that he met Mae, they were married, and had his two beloved sons, Warren & Derek.

Phil graduated from Lee Edwards High School in Asheville, N. C. in 1954, continuing his education at Asheville Buncombe Technical. This began a long career in the precise practice of developing, crafting parts, and implementation of not only machined parts to further earthly endeavors, but also outer space. He was a highly respected and beloved employee of Halpro, Inc., Rockville, Maryland for 30+ years.

After retirement, Phil spent many years playing golf with his buddies at Holly Hills Country Club and Clustered Spires Golf Club in Maryland. When introduced to Pickleball after moving to Green View...it became his passion.

He treasured his winters in Florida. Loved his many friends and active life style at Spring Run Golf Community in Bonita Springs for more than 20 years.

In addition to his wife, Phil is survived by his son Warren, granddaughter Scout and her beloved husband Adam, grandson Sam, and son Derek and his wife Debi of Clarksburg, Md. Two sisters now residing in Greenville, Michigan, Katheryn Shank, and sister Joanne Ford. Many nieces and nephews in Michigan and his beloved first cousins and family in Texas.

The family will receive friends for a celebration of Phil's life at 11 a.m. on June 21st at Holly Hills Country Club at 5502 Mussetter Rd, Ijamsville, Md.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory to New Market Methodist Church, 5501 Old New Market Rd., New Market, Md. Phillip Isensee
