Phillip Dean Keys, 73 of Bluefield, WV passed away on Dec. 6, 2024 at CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV. Phillip was born in Princeton, WV. He was a devoted son and brother; and a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His family was his world. He also enjoyed bowling, movies, family reunions, games, animals, and making everyone smile. Phillip was of the Christian faith and when his health permitted he attended Divine Hope Ministry in Glenwood.
Phillip was preceeded in death by his faternal grandparents: Andrew and Orpha (Miller) Keys; maternal grandparents: Martin and Addie (Stables) Ratliff; parents: Dewie K. and Agnes E. (Ratliff) Keys; Wife: Deborah M. (Thorne) Keys; sons: Kevin M. Keys and Gregory D. Keys: grandson: Christian G. Belcher; brothers: Dennie Keys, E. Dwight Keys, and David Keys.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters: Candace N. (Keys) Belcher of Bluefield, WV, and Melissa A. (Rice) Keys of Bluefield, WV; granddaughters: Samantha D. and fiance Jacob Parker of Greenvalley, WV; DeAnna M. Keys of Bluefield, WV; Katelyn R. Keys of Bluefield, WV; and Brooklyn L. Belcher of Bluefield, WV; great granddaughter: Aurora Parker of Green Valley, WV; a sister: Dreama and husband David Meadows, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones that he looked at as sons and daughters. He will be greatly missed.
Services will be held at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield, WV. Visitation is on Friday, December 13, 2024 from 6-8 pm. Service is on Saturday December 14, 2024 at 2 pm. Pastor Joey Wright will be officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell. Pallbearers for the service are: Shannon Hodge, Hunter Hodge, Tom Mason, Jacob Parker, Perry Wagner, and C.J. Harris.
