Phillip Edward Megginson, 57, Passed away on August 6th, 2025, at Augusta hospital in his sleep. He was born July 28th, 1968, in Savannah, Ga. He grew up in Larchmont estates and attending Thompkins high school, before moving to Oliver Ga. Where he enjoyed a lot of his time hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with his two sons, Brandon and Phillip and his grandchildren. He was a wrecker driving for a while before starting his own business "IN TILE". Phillip Megginson was a member at Bible Baptist of Statesboro. Proceeded in death by his father Addison "Papa Joe" Cornelius Megginson his Grandmother Margie Forshee, His Aunt Janet Donaldson. Surviving is his Mother Barbra Sanders and Stepfather Bobby Sanders of Oliver, Ga; his Brothers Charles" Chuck" Megginson of Valdosta, and Stephen Megginson of Savannah Ga; his sons Brandon Megginson (Samantha Furlong), and Phillip Odell Megginson (Meaghan Blanton); grandchildren Blake, Brandon, Bradlee, Karlee and Lillie; nieces and nephews,Paigdra Von Herbulis, Justin Megginson, Peyton Megginson, Taylor Megginson, and Brendy Megginson. The Family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 P.M. on Sunday August 10, 2025 at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home in Pooler. The Funeral to honor Phillip's life will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 11, 2025 in the chapel of the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home in Pooler. Interment will follow at Gravel Hill in Bloomingdale, Ga. The Pallbearers will be Phillip Odell Megginson, Brandon Megginson, Josh Stephens, Blake Megginson, Chuck Megginson, And Tyler Cochran.
