Phillip M. Radics, 82, of Granger, Ind., passed away early Thursday morning, July 17, 2025, at his home with his family by his side.
He was born on Sept. 12, 1942, in South Bend, Ind., the son of the late Frank and Elsie (Szabo) Radics. Phillip was a 1960 graduate of Riley High School in South Bend. On April 30, 1966, he was united in marriage to Sue Ely. Phillip worked as an accountant most of his life. He owned and operated an advertising company in St. Joseph for many years, until his retirement.
Phillip was an avid golfer and once had a hole-in-one at Pipestone Creek Golf Course. He loved boating and spending time with his wife and family at their lake house on Big Bass Lake in Irons, Mich. Phillip enjoyed traveling with his wife and friends to Las Vegas and Mexico. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Sue Radics; three children: Chris Radics, Lisa (Dusty) Dalton and Mary Radics; two grandchildren: Stephanie Radics, and Thomas (Yajaira Gonzalez) Walterhouse; two great-grandchildren: Noah and Dallas Walterhouse; sister-in-law, Linda Alexander; brother-in-law, Dan (Nancy) Ely; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, at Clark Chapel – Starks Family Funeral Home, 405 Center St., Dowagiac, where a rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 21, at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 51841 Leach Road, Dowagiac. Entombment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
