Gardner-Phillip R. Ricord, 82, died Thursday, December 22, 2022, at Heywood Hospital after a short illness. 

He leaves his wife of 61 years, Jeanette (Morin) Ricord, and four children, Joann McColgan and her husband Jim of Tewksbury, Michael Ricord and his wife Beth of Winchendon, John Ricord and his partner, Donna of Winchendon, and Susan Sheridan and her partner Steve of Leominster; ten grandchildren, Meghan, Anthony, Tim, Sarah, Steven, Joshua, Jeremy, Nicole, Daniel, and Jenny; two great-grandchildren, Isabelle and Paxton; two sisters, Lorraine Adams of Winchendon, and Phyllis St. Pierre of Winchendon. 

He is predeceased by two sisters, Jeanette A Blouin and, Sylvia Maliska, and one brother, Richard Ricord. 

He was born in Winchendon on December 4, 1940, the son of the late Silva and Alice (Robert) Ricord. He attended Winchendon Schools. 

Phillip worked as a carpenter and cabinet maker for a number of contractors; he also worked for Aubouchons early in his career. He lived in Winchendon for most of his life and then lived in Gardner for the last several years. He was a proud member of the Sons of the American Legion and a past commander, the JC’s Junior Chamber of Commerce, and the Winchendon Lions Club. 

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and puttering around the house. He loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. 

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

His funeral will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. in the Stone Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon, MA 01475. 

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. 

Burial will be private.
