Phillip Leon Swepson was born on, May 11th, 1952, in Marion, to the late Vivian Hazel Swepson and departed from life on, February, 8 th , 2025. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Denise Jackson Swepson. Phillip was a graduate of McDowell High School where he played football and he later attended Wofford College where he received a scholarship to play football. Phillip is also a veteran of the US Army.
Phillip was a business owner of GreenSweep, a landscaping architectural company. Phillip loved his family and never met a stranger. Phillip loved his family and even in his sickness he was concerned about his family’s wellbeing. Phillip was a member of Kingdom Hall of Marion. Phillip is survived by his two sisters; Ella Sue Young, of Marion and Brenda Robinson, of Cleveland, Ohio, a host of nephews, nieces and cousins.
A special thanks to his nephews Shawjuan Fowler and his family for the care that they gave during his illness and a special thanks to his spiritual brothers and sisters and all who showed kindness to Phillip.
Service will be held at Kingdom Hall of Marion on Saturday, February 15th, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.
