Phillip Gayle Taylor, 76, of Evansville, Indiana, went to rest at his eternal home on Friday, December 12, 2025 at 11:14 pm.
Phillip stayed with extended family in Evansville, Indiana. He was born to the late Noah Edgar Taylor and Hallie May (Finn) Taylor on February 3, 1949. They had nine children, three girls and six boys. Phillip was the seventh child. He was from Livermore, Kentucky - McLean County. Phillip helped his dad, Noah, work on the tobacco farm as a young boy. As a teenager around 17ish, Phillip moved to Michigan to build boats. Later he moved to Evansville, Indiana where he settled. Phillip enjoyed playing the lottery, spending time outdoors, and taking care of Caroline.
Phillip was a jack of many trades. He worked for QCD Packaging until he retired. Phillip and our mother (Anna D. Englehardt) were life long partners. Devoted to each other for 34 years.
Phillip is survived by his extended family; three step daughters; one step son; six step grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

A special thank you to Jodi and Jeff Cantner for giving him a peaceful place to enjoy the rest of his earthly days. Also, Kalvin Thomas for being his personal driver wherever he wanted to go. Also thank you to everyone who took care of Phillip Taylor- he was a simple man that didn't know a stranger and would help anyone he could.
