TOLBERT: A Service honoring the Life and Legacy of Mr. Phillip Tolbert, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at Paradise Baptist Church, 1711 Donald E. Hollowell Parkway, Atlanta, Georgia; Rev. Charles L. Harper III, Pastor and Officiant and Rev. Aaron Jones III, Eulogist. Interment, private. Viewing will be held Friday, May 17, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Legacy Funeral Home, 8968 Fayetteville Road, Jonesboro, Georgia. Survivors are his daughter, daughter, Keisha (Tory) Sewell; son, Phillip J. (Janessa Seawright) Tolbert; three grandchildren, Kyla Sewell, Rocket Tolbert and Jet Tobert; five sisters, Martha Traylor, Dollie Mays, JoAnn Tolbert, Helen Tolbert, and Brenda Tolbert; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church at 10:30 a.m.

I met Mr. Phillip when he came to Clarkston to make arrangements for his wife's funeral. I was the Church Administrator and he sat in front of me and spoke well of his wife. He was so complimentary of his wife. He was so loving. I remember saying when he walked out of my office, 'They don't make them like that anymore!" It broke my heart to hear of his passing, but because I know he knew the Lord, I'm certain he has been reunited with His Savior and the love of his life. To his family that remains, I will be in prayer for you and the void that is left. Keep the memories close and God even closer.

To the Family, I´m sorry for your loss. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers.
I can´t believe that a Milestone has been passed, an era has come to an end. Those who know, know. Since I was around 7 years old, Bubba and I always referred to each other as "My Bubba and My Sherri", then we gave each other the biggest hugs and laughed.
