He was born on November 17, 1957 in Anderson, IN to Fred E. Werner, Jr and Jane (Guidry) Schubert.
Phillip married Kristina Springer in Granite City, IL and she preceded him in death on November 12, 2023.
The loving father and grandfather retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 25 years of service as a truck driver. Phillip enjoyed his job and his greatest joy was being a grandfather.
Phillip is survived by a daughter, Jessica Werner of Granite City; 2 sons: Zach Werner of Granite City and Kelly Werner of KS; 2 grandchildren: Lilly Werner and Rosie Mae Hall; a brother, Fred (Yon) Werner of Granite City; 2 sisters: Karen Garner of Highland, IL and Paula (Mark) Dauksha of Granite City; aunt, Roberta Werner of LA and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Phillip is preceded in death by his step-mother, Barbara Werner; step-father, Richard Schubert and brother-in-law, Eddie Garner.
