He attended the National Jamboree, Silver Wolf Leadership training, and Philmont Scout Ranch. He led many young men, including his own sons, to the highest rank in Scouting, the Eagle Award. For the Cub Scout Arrow of Light presentation, he made, by hand, and wore a white tan hide suit with a full headdress.
