Phillipe David Scheurer, 61, passed away on May 26, 2024.  Dear son of the late James A. Scheurer, Jr. (Dorothy Scheurer nee Sobieski) and the late Helen Scheurer (nee Misko).  Beloved husband of Terry Scheurer. Dear brother of James A. Scheurer, III (Jessica Fischer) and the late Robert Scheurer. He is the cousin of Joseph Scheurer, David Scheurer and nephew of Barbara McKnight. Phillipe was a proud Navy veteran and served on the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower. He was a passionate animal lover, especially dogs, and saved a number of local strays. He loved motorcycles, golf and fishing for carp with his buddies. Phillipe was larger than life. He loved people and loved telling stories that would bring a smile or laugh to your face.  He will forever be loved and missed by family and friends.  Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, June 1, 2024 beginning at 8:30 AM at St. John Cantius Church, 4420 E. Thompson St., Philadelphia, PA 19137. Funeral Mass to follow at 10 AM. The funeral mass will be live-streamed by visiting

Burial to take place at Holy Redeemer Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Phillipe's memory to either NAMIphilly.org or to Supportwoundedwarriorsproject.com would be appreciated by his family.
