Phyllis I. Adams

West Brookfield - Phyllis I. (Reim) Adams, 97, of West Brookfield, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Center. She was born to the late Roy and Clara (Vilandri) Reim in West Warren on June 17, 1925.
Phyllis leaves her sons, Mark H. Adams and his companion Eileen of West Brookfield, and Kenneth R. Adams and his wife Johanna of Chesterfield as well as three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She will also be missed by her brother, Charles Reim of West Brookfield. Phyllis is predeceased by her husband of over 60 years, Norman Adams, her grandson, Kristopher Adams, her brothers Roy Reim, Jr., Donald Reim, and Kenneth Reim, her sisters, Evelyn Cummings and Shirley Giroux as well as her daughter-in-law, Lynn Adams.
Phyllis worked as a salesperson at Gavitt Wire in Brookfield for 35 years, before retiring in 1993. She was a loving and devoted wife, and volunteered as a Cub Scout Leader and a 4H Leader for girls. She was an avid traveler, going on trips to places such as Egypt, Israel, France, Russia, Germany, and to most of the National Parks in the United States. She enjoyed going to Myrtle Beach every spring with Norman as well as many bus trips and cruises. Even with this very full life, her biggest passion remained her family.
A Funeral Service for Phyllis will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 11AM in the George Whitefield United Methodist Church, 33 Main Street, in West Brookfield. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in West Brookfield following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the George Whitefield United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 576, West Brookfield, MA 01585.
