Phyllis Marie Reese English Jenkins Beaumont of Buhl, Idaho, formerly of Twin Falls, passed away May 2, 2024, at Autumn Breeze Assisted Living. Phyllis was born July 30, 1927, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Harry and Mary Viola Reese. Mom graduated Valedictorian from Castleford High School in 1944, attended Seattle School of Nursing, and later received her bachelor's degree in nursing from Idaho State University.
Mom worked at Idaho Power in Hazleton and Twin Falls through the mid 60’s. She returned to nursing after she became an RN. She enjoyed geriatrics, working at Burley Memorial Hospital, and later at Twin Falls Assisted Living.
In 1946 Mom married Robert E. English. To this union came four children, Tery (Donna), Sherri (Gary), Robin (Cindy), and Tracy (Lori). They were later divorced. Mom married R. Dee Jenkins in 1969. They were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple. Following Dee’s death, Mom married Ray O. Beaumont.
Mom was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a member of the Twin Falls 8th ward for 50 years and was active in Relief Society.
Mom loved to dance. She took tap lessons at Mauldin’s Dance Academy until she was 93. A member of the Top Hat Tappers, she performed at many venues for many years to the enjoyment of all who witnessed their talents.
Mom was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Mary Reese; brothers, Harry DuWayne Reese and Ira Chris Reese; sister, Cynthia Pauline Parker; husband, R. Dee Jenkins; daughter, Sherri Kay Peterson; and grandson Evan English.
She is survived by her husband, Ray O. Beaumont; brother, Roland Reese; children, Terry (Donna) English, Robin (Cindy) English, Tracy (Lori) English; 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Fortuin, the staff of Autumn Breeze Assisted Living, and Hospice Visions for their special care of Mom.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, with a viewing beginning at 10:00 am, Friday, May 17, 2024, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1001 Fair Ave, Buhl. Burial will conclude at Sunset Memorial Park, 2296 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Phyllis’ name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
