Phyllis Burick Obituary
Born January 19, 1950 in Indiana, PA, she was a daughter of the late Thomas O. Marshall and Elizabeth (Thompson) Marshall.
Prior to retirement, Phyllis had been employed in security and as a private police officer for Slate Construction, Latrobe Area Hospital, and Latrobe Brewing Company. She also had been the owner and operator of the former Phyl's Ceramic Shop. She had been a volunteer at the Word of Life Church in Greensburg and will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful wife and mother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Todd Adam Burick and several brothers and sisters.
Phyllis is survived by her husband of 55 years, Gilbert L. Burick of Latrobe; three children, Thomas J. Burick of Mesa, AZ, Terry A. Burick (Stacy) of Latrobe, and Kim A. Burick of Latrobe; two grandchildren, Karlianne and Aliyah; one great-grandson, Timothy; two sisters, Nancy Pendrotti (Sam) of Jeannette and Carrie Lou Pack (Mark) of Gainsboro, TN; a special nephew and caregiver, Floyd McCurdy Jr.; and she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received from 10 to 11 AM Wednesday at the Lopatich-Brinker Funeral Home, LLC, 601 Weldon Street, Latrobe. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Tom Walters officiating. Interment will be private.
