Phyllis Jean (Donham) Davis was born in Ridgeway, Illinois on December 14th, 1928 and passed away peacefully on October 27th, 2025 at her home in Greenfield, Indiana, at the age of 96.
Up until the end, Phyllis maintained her kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith.
Phyllis worked for Warren Township Schools, first in the kitchen and later as a library assistant until her retirement.
Phyllis was an avid sports fan and was known for her ability to "talk sports" with the best of them! She followed the Colts, Bears, Cubs, Warren Central Warriors, and the Indiana Fever.
Phyllis served in Women's Prison Ministry and was a member of Old Bethal United Methodist Church for over 60 years.
She is survived by her son Charles (sp. Lisa) Davis, daughter in law Dianne Davis, six grandchildren Tianna (sp. Jay) Dowden, Trent Davis, Trisha Davis, Terin Davis, Tessa Davis and Lucy Davis; and three great-grandchildren.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Mabel Donham, husband Thomas E. Davis, and her son Richard Kent Davis.
Her memorial visitation will be Saturday November 15th, at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East, from 2pm-4pm. Her memorial service will begin at 4pm. She will be laid to rest privately, next to her late husband, Thomas, at Washington Park East Cemetery.
