Phyllis A. DiIorio age 74, lifelong resident of Norwalk, entered into eternal rest December 8, 2025. While she battled Breast Cancer with tremendous courage and strength for almost six years an unanticipated transition in her health proved to be to-much for her to overcome.

She was born on March 27, 1951, daughter to the late Arthur and Jennie (Lopriore) Cocchia Sr. She graduated from Brien McMahon High School in 1969 and began a family where she raised 4 children, later becoming self-employed.

In her early life she enjoyed taking her children to her father's produce business Arthur Cocchia & Sons which was a staple in Norwalk for more than 40 years. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, family vacations, weekly breakfast get-togethers with longtime friends, Sunday adventures shopping with her daughters and sister-in-law, spending time playing Nonna was something she looked forward to and cherished.

She was a loving mother to Kelly, Danielle, Anthony Jr. (Genevieve DeLuca) and Jeffrey (Annette Mahon) sister to twin brothers James (Theresa) Cocchia, and Jeffrey (Gloria) Cocchia; Nonna to Layla, Luca, and Camilla, bonus Nonna to Vivianna, Angelina, and Layla; she was an Aunt, and had many nieces and nephews; Phyllis later became a special companion to her former husband Anthony DiIorio Sr. She was predeceased by a brother, Arthur Cocchia Jr.

There were so many people who touched Phyllis's life over the years including Mabel Mejia, Ayanna McCoy and longtime bestie Ann DiRoma.

The family invite friends to attend a wake service on Thursday December 11, 2025 from 4:00 till 8:00 pm at the Raymond Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street in Historic Norwalk. A Mass will be celebrated on Friday 10:00 am at St. Matthew Church 216 Scribner Ave, Norwalk, Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Norwalk.
