Phyllis Diana Dismuke was born October 20, 1942 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Steve and Willie (McFarland) Branch. She completed her earthly journey on Friday, August 22, 2025, in Oklahoma City. She was 82.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 28, at 6:00 P.M. at Eastside Church of Christ in Duncan with Ron Stough officiating. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Dylan Dismuke, Dalton Dismuke, Christian Franklin, Mitchel Allen, Grant Givens and Bill Robinson. Her inurnment will be held at a later date in the Duncan Municipal Cemetery.
Phyllis graduated with the Class of 1960 at Empire High School. She married the love of her life, Roy Glenn Dismuke on September 10, 1960 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Their family was completed with the births of their children: Ricky, Brenda, and Cynthia. She and Roy were co-owners of Dismuke Plumbing where she worked for 59 years.
She was an avid shopper of both new and second-hand treasures. She enjoyed collecting different things. She liked to travel and loved her dogs. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She never had a bad day in her life. Phyllis was a long-time member of Eastside Church of Christ.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Brenda Franklin of Edmond; grandchildren: Dylan and Emily Dismuke of Duncan, Dalton Dismuke and fiancé MyKenzee Russell of Duncan, Christian and Callie Franklin of Moore, Kaitlin and Mitchel Allen of Edmond; and great grandchildren: Matthew Dismuke, Tate Dismuke, Ford Allen, Baker Allen. She is also survived by nieces: Robyn and Art Foster of Marlow, Angela Smith of Choctaw; sisters-in-law: Kathy Henson and Scarlett King of Duncan; nephew, Grant and Delydia Givens of Weatherford; special friend, Ginger Brockman; many brothers- and sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, other loved ones and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Steve and Willie Branch; husband of 57 years, Roy; son, Ricky Joe Dismuke; daughter, Cynthia Anne Dismuke; brother, Steve Lawrence Jr.; and sister, Nancy Kay Cockrell; and great grandson, Shepherd Allen.
