Mrs. Phyllis Jene Cox Dobson, age 84, of Salisbury, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Atrium Health Cabarrus.
A funeral service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Lady's Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Dr. Johnny Boggs. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Salisbury National Cemetery.
Phyllis was born on October 9, 1941, in Richwood, West Virginia, to the late Arnold Lewis Cox and Della Arlene Cox. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Stevenson Dobson; her son, James Stevenson Dobson; and three brothers, Arnold Ray Cox, Corder "Corky" Herbert Cox, and Leo C. Cox.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who lived her life grounded in faith and love for her family. She found comfort and strength in her relationship with the Lord.
Phyllis is survived by two daughters, Tammy Loraine Dobson and Ashley Marie Cook (Jake) of Charlotte; a son, Paul Eric Dobson (Angela) of Salisbury; two sisters, Lou Shifflett (Paul) and Rosie Belcher (Bob), both of Craigsville, West Virginia; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
