Thirteen years later, I still think of Phyllis on almost a daily basis and often quote the sage advice and words of wisdom she gave me with others.

Hardly a day goes by that I don't think of Phyllis (and Lob). They were both such an important part of my life and helped to shape who I am. Therese

To the Family of Phyllis Exline,
I knew Phyllis from the South Louisiana Ladies Group which would meet every Mardi Gras. I joined in the '80's and Phyllis was always so beautiful and gracious to me and all the members. She was always smiling. I did not see her during the year but it was always great to visit with her and talk about New Orleans!
I will miss Phyllis and pray that all your family will find comfort in Our Lord and His Divine Love.

I just heard from one of Mrs. Exline's
many friends that she had died. Dr. Exline has my deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers. She was a very bright lady whose smile and twinkling eyes blessed the life of all who were
fortunate enough to know her.
We will all miss her.

My daughter, Adrianne, was a young Brownie Girl Scout when Mrs. Exline was on the board of the Lone Star Girl Scout Council. Adrianne later received a Girl Scout scholarship to study Occupational Therapy and earn her Masters degree at TWU. Who would have guessed that years later, Mrs. Phyllis Exline would be Adrianne's very first patient as an OTS at Health South? That's exactly what Mrs. Exline envisioned for the girls in the Lone Star Council. Adrianne is very impressed with the love and devotion Dr. Exline showed his wife til death they did part. Mrs. Exline will always hold a special place in Adrianne's heart.

Dear Lob and Family,
I met Phyllis in the early 90's when I moved to Austin to work for Girl Scouts. Phyllis always had a smile and an encouraging word. The generosity you both shared with Girl Scouts has enhanced the life of many girls. I will miss her thoughtful leadership and smile. Please know that you and your family continue to be in my prayers.

Dear Dr. Exline,
On behalf of all of us at the Seedling Foundation I want to express our deepest sorrow over the loss of your dear Phyllis. I remember with great fondness taking the two of you on a tour of the Crockett High School Automotive facility and enjoying Mrs. Exline's enthusiastic and supportive response to the new building. We are grateful every day for the support and encouragement you both have offered our foundation and offer you our support and encouragement at this very difficult time.

Phyllis is a saint. I will miss her very much. She was a wonderful mother to my very best friend, Meg; and she was a second mother to me. She served on the board of directors for my engineering firm for five years and, in that time, guided me with her instinctive knowledge of finance and business. Her resolute patience in all matters and her steadfast love of God make her the perfect role model. I will do my best to live by the advice she has given me over the past 35 years.
