It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Phyllis (Padula) Genitoni, beloved wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed this life on November 17, 2025, at the age of 79. Phyllis was born on September 12, 1946, and spent many cherished years in Gilberts, IL.
Phyllis was the devoted wife of Michael Genitoni, with whom she shared 57 years of love and partnership. Together, they raised a beautiful family, including their children: Gianna (Justin) Moore, Michelle (Anthony) Borecky, Phillip (Ines) Genitoni, Michael Genitoni and Danielle Genitoni. She took great pride in her role as a grandmother to Jordan, Joseph, Nicole, Gianna, Toni and Dominic, and was blessed to be a great - grandmother to Ava, Juan, and Gianna.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her late parents, Nicholas and Mildred Padula, and her sisters, the late Sandra (Michael) Aloisio, and Barbara Mancinelli. She is survived by her loving family who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Phyllis was known for her unwavering love for her family and her feisty personality. She was truly the best soul, always ready with fierce love and compassion for anyone she came in contact with. Her legacy of love, and strength will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. She was, and always will be, the heart and soul of her family.
Phyllis (Padula) Genitioni will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her love will remain a guiding light for her family and all who knew her, her laughter and warmth echoing in the hearts of her loved ones for years to come.
