Obituary For Phyllis Mae Andersen Goosen

Phyllis Mae Andersen Goosen was born August 15, 1936 in Hurley, South Dakota to Andrew and Lillie Andersen. She joined a brother Ralph, sister Joyce and after her birth a sister Helen and brother LeRoy came into the family. Phyllis graduated from Parker High School in Parker, South Dakota on May 17, 1955. She married Willard Goosen on July 9, 1955. To this union was born one son Brian and three daughters Vickie, Mae and Linda. Phyllis was baptized in the White River Presbyterian Church in Auburn, Washington on December 13, 1959. Phyllis did several different types of work in her lifetime such as working on parents' farm, Hitco Plastics, Boeing Aircraft, Lunds Lites, assistant to the elderly and handicapped and also did child care for several families.

Phyllis loved to travel with her family, but her favorite was just spending time with her family. She enjoyed being outdoors, taking long road trips, going to the beach, doing crossword puzzles and playing games, winning at the casinos, and dream catchers. And she loved to laugh.

Preceding her in death was her son Brian, her husband Willard, her parents Andrew and Lillie, her brothers Merle, Peter, Ray, Harlan, LeRoy and Ralph, and her sisters Helen Sherard and Joyce Johnson.

Leaving to mourn her loss but happy to have the memories of their life with her are daughters Vickie Cooper and husband Tom, Mae Rubida, Linda Johnson and husband Glenn; grandchildren Jeremy, Randall, Lauren, Stephanie and Laura; and great grandchildren Mason, Alyssa, Reese, Dylan, Landon, Callahan, Bryan, Leighton, Turner and Kahlea; and extended family and dear friends.
