Michael Terrence Goosen

Michael T. Goosen, 72, of Bloomington, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly in October 2025, after a brief illness.
He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, grew up in Minot, North Dakota, then lived in Bloomington for the remainder of his life.
He is survived by his loving partner of 25 years, Gail Simpson, and his daughter Amanda (Jesse McKenzie).
Mike attended Minot High School and the University of North Dakota. He had a successful career as a retail market analyst, and was employed by Holiday Station Stores, Drug Emporium, Retail Systems, Dakota Worldwide, and as a distributor for L'Oreal.
His favorite activity was attending and watching auto racing (World of Outlaws Sprint Cars and Indy Cars), a hobby shared with his father since boyhood. He made many memories and lifelong friends at the races that he attended. He also enjoyed traveling all over the country, especially Disneyland and Disney World, and concerts, restaurants, supper clubs, and thrift stores. His sense of humor endeared him to many, and he will not soon be forgotten.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Irene Goosen. Private funeral services and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Mike's memory to the Cancer Society of your choice.
