To Phyllis' family, you have my most sincere condolences in the loss of a wonderful woman. She is my sister-in-law, but more importantly she is my friend, and I cherish the years I have known her. I know she suffered through much during her life, but still had that joy of living within her. Although the mileage was great between us, we talked at least weekly, most times for long periods of time. She will live on within each person whose life she touched, and she touched many during her life time. Cherish all the precious memories we all have of her. With love, Pat

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Ms. Phyllis. She and I worked together and she was nice to me and was there for me at a time when I needed. I will never forget her for that. I will miss her. Anitra Bradby Secretary of the Commonwealth.

Phyllis will be remembered fondly and with great warmth as a wonderful friend whose integrity, loyalty and sense of humor were evident to all who knew her. She was my right-hand when she volunteered almost full time to help elect Governor Mark Warner in 2001 and never missed one of his Pig Roasts! When I met my husband-to-be, she was so encouraging and supportive, even though it meant I would be moving to Virginia Beach. Miles between us did not matter, and we stayed in touch. I was able to meet up with her on several trips back to Richmond, and am most thankful that I got to see her and meet her family this past Sunday. I will miss our talks about family and politics and will especially miss hearing her say "Hello!" when an emphatic point was made! To her family members, of whom she was so proud and who meant the world to her, I offer my heartfelt condolences and assurance that Phyllis will always be with us in the fond memories that last forever. With love, Bet

I met Phillis on my first job in 1959. We have been friends since. Recently Phillis stayed a month with me and my Husband. I am thankful for that time we spent together. I think of her children as mine since they all grew up together. I will miss her.
