Helen Joyce Keith, 88, went to her heavenly home on January 29, 2026. Joyce was born on December 15, 1937, in
Boswell, Oklahoma, the daughter of Cara Ernest Jones and Amanda "Mandy" (Shults) Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond "Kirk" Keith; son, Michael Kevin Keith; siblings, Ernest Jones, Leslie Jones, Dewey Jones, Sammy Jones, and Sharon Marunde.
Joyce grew up in Boswell and was a graduate of Boswell High School, Class of 1957. She married her loving husband, Raymond "Kirk" Keith, on November 12, 1960, in Paris, Texas. Together they made their home in Houston, Texas where they resided until the summer of 1979 when they moved to Joyce's hometown of Boswell.
Joyce was a dedicated homemaker, and she took great pride in caring for her family. Her home was not only a nurturing space for her own family but also a welcoming haven for the children she cared for over the years. Joyce's warmth and kindness made her in-home daycare a beloved place for many. Her creativity shone brightly in the kitchen where she crafted beautiful cakes for her friends and neighbors. Each cake was not just a treat but a work of art, a symbol of Joyce's desire to spread happiness and celebrate the milestones of those around her.
Joyce's volunteer work within her community was a reflection of her loving nature. She gave her time selflessly and was always ready to lend a hand, whether at the local county fair or the Boswell Public Library (that she helped establish). She truly enjoyed giving back and building her community. Alongside her beloved husband, Joyce was also a proud member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), supporting those who served. She had always been proud of her country, and it showed through her patriotism. Joyce was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Boswell. She served many roles throughout the years, but helping with Vacation Bible School was one of her favorites. Above all, Joyce's love for the Lord and her family knew no bounds. Her legacy is one of love, service, and faith that will live on in the hearts of those she has left behind.
