Brenda Louise Maxwell

Brenda Maxwell, a beacon of laughter and kindness, left the stage of life on February 12, 2026, at the age of 80, after a lifetime of curtain calls in Boswell, Hugo, and Choctaw County, OK. Born on December 18, 1945, in the small town of Boswell, OK, Brenda was the kind of person who could find humor in the everyday

Brenda, known for her quick wit and infectious smile, spent her entire life in the area she loved, surrounded by friends and family. She enjoyed family game nights and solitaire – a game she played with the strategy of a general and the glee of a child. Brenda lived approximately 25 years in Fairbanks, Alaska with her sister, Dorothy.

She is survived by her niece, nephew, and a troupe of cousins, other relatives, and friends who will miss her dearly. Brenda was the last of her immediate family, joining her parents, E.L. "Buster" Maxwell and Reba (Edge) Maxwell, her brothers, Sterling and Barney Maxwell, and her sister, Dorothy Lemm.

Brenda's life was a series of heartwarming moments, a true testament to the power of living life with a positive outlook and the ability to not take oneself too seriously. She was a woman who could turn a trip to the grocery store into an adventure and a quiet evening at home into a laugh-fest.

Celebration of Brenda's Life will be held at Graveside Services on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 2:00 PM, with Chad Moffett officiating and burial in the Restland Cemetery in Boswell, OK. Arrangements under the direction of Mt. Olive Funeral Home of Hugo, OK.
