Herbert Kenneth Perrin was born to Drumon Perrin and Leta Crawford Perrin in Fort Towson, Oklahoma on September 8, 1943. He went home to be with his Lord November 19, 2025.
Herb was born in trying times for America. His little family traveled the first few years of his life, just trying to survive: Arizona, California, and back to Oklahoma, where he attended school and later went to work for Dierks. His early adulthood years consisted of trips to Oregon to work in the log woods and riding a bull, following a pipeline across the plains and riding a bull, coming back to Oklahoma, working for various farmers and ranchers and, of course, riding a bull.
Herb met Marquita McDaniel in 1980, and they were married on April 11, 1980. From this union they were blessed with two beautiful children, Crystal and Brett. During this time, he worked for Weyerhaeuser and she taught school at Hayworth, Oklahoma.
He is survived by his wife, Marquita Perrin; daughter, Crystal Carr and husband Justin Carr; son, Brett Perrin; grandchildren Seba Meyers, Issac Carr, and Lily Carr; sister Pauline and husband Bill Lovelace; and a host of many relatives and dear friends.
Herb was preceded in death by Granny, Sara (Rose) Crawford, father Drumon Perrin, mother Leta Nowell, brother Raymond Perrin, sister Cretia Perrin, brother Mitchell Perrin, and sister Clarice Cassada.
Bill and I always gave Herb the choice as what to do when we visited. He always wanted to go to church. He loved being in God's House. In his words, "It just makes me feel so good, like I'm closer to Him."
I can only imagine how he's feeling now.
A graveside service will be held for Herb at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2025 at the Slater Cemetery in Wright City, Oklahoma, officiated by Bro. Bob Stewart, under the direction of Mt. Olive Funeral Home, Hugo, Oklahoma.
