Yadkinville – Phyllis Dinkins Kimmer, 81, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025. She was born September 30, 1943 in Yadkin County to the late Henry Dinkins and Arebelle Pettit Dinkins. Phyllis loved spending time with her family, but her pride and joy was her grandchildren. She was a member at Bethel Baptist Church in Yadkinville. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Terry Lane Kimmer; sisters, Alleene Dinkins, Vivian Lawson. She is survived by her husband, Benny Gray Kimmer; daughter, Jody (Toby) Wingler; grandchildren, Emry (Victoria Cohn) Wingler, Eli (Layken Mathis) Wingler; sisters, Mary Ruth Reece, Shelby Bruce, Maebelle Carlton, Darnell (John Ray) Latham; and several nieces and nephews. A private funeral service will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 243 North Lee Avenue, Yadkinville, NC 27055. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Kimmer family. Online condolences can be made at www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
