Phyllis Elaine Kroll passed away on Thursday afternoon, September 7,2023 with her daughters and husband by her side. Phyllis was born November 11, 1930, on a dairy farm outside of Royalton, Minnesota, the third child to Julius and Fern Kuschel. She is survived by Donald, her husband of 71 years; four children, Denise (Heidi), Karla (Dan), Mark (Terri), Paula (Ray); eight grandchildren;7 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Jean and Donna, and brother Richard. Phyllis lived in Columbia Heights, Minnesota for 65 years where she and Donald raised their family. Phyllis had a deep Christian faith and was an active member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. She worked for 17 years at Anoka County Department of Motor Vehicles and volunteered countless hours at Southern Anoka County Assistance (SACA). Phyllis battled age-related dementia over the past four years and resided in the memory care unit at River Village East Senior Community. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of River Village East Memory Care and Our Lady of Peace In Home Hospice Care team. Visitation will be held at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 4101 Washington St. NE, Columbia Heights, Monday, September 18 2023 from 4-6 PM with the memorial service the next day, Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 10:30 AM with a visitation one hour prior at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Interment at a later date at Camp Ripley in Little Falls, MN.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Southern Anoka County Assistance (SACA) or Our Lady of Peace In Home Hospice Care.
