Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home - BeavertonBarbara (Richardson) Kroll, age 94, of Beaverton, Michigan passed away on July 20, 2025. Barb was born on June 28, 1931 in St. Johns Michigan, to Warner "Edward" and Elsie (Eberhart) Richardson. She graduated from Beaverton High School in 1949 and worked various jobs at Holly Carburetor, in real estate and the Peppermill Restaurant in Gladwin, MI.
On December 2, 1950 Barb married the love of her life, Carl Kroll. Together they shared many years filled with love and cherished memories until he preceded her in death in 2015. Carl and Barb enjoyed square dancing and camping throughout Michigan and the rest of the US. On these trips she usually brought back a rock or seashell to remember her trip by. Barb was a wonderful Mom, Mother-in-law, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She was a prolific quilter and her family has many cherished memories that keep them warm at night. When she wasn’t quilting, Barb loved to play a hand of cards, especially on holidays when family would gather around her kitchen table for hands of Bump Uno, Oh Heck or No Name.
Barb is survived by John (Diane) Kroll, Sandra (Karl) Bauman, Randy (Cynthia) Kroll, Kevin (Terri) Kroll, 15 Grandchildren, 44 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great Great Grandchildren. Also, siblings Dale (Elaine) Richardson, Joyce Dent, Carol Richardson, and sister-in-laws Sharon, Alice, and Pauline Richardson.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Carl, son Ray Kroll, parents Warner and Elsie Richardson, and brothers Edward, Jim and Jerry Richardson. Also by sister and brother in laws Lydia and Al Cole, Clara and Emerson Schieber, Dorothy and Eddie Connors, Jesse and Dorothy Kroll, Frederick Kroll, Robert Dent and two Great Grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Faith United Methodist Church in Coleman, MI on Saturday, September 20, Visitation begins at 10:30 a.m., followed by the service at 11:30 a.m. with a luncheon to follow. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Lymphoma And Leukemia Society. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home. Burial at Arthur Township Cemetery will take place at a later date with family.
