Phyllis Walton Linscheid

Phyllis Walton Linscheid, 84, of Seneca, formerly of Asheville, NC. passed away on January 1, 2026. Born in Kinsley, Kansas she was the daughter of the late Charles Walton and Mary Elizabeth Phillips Walton. 

Survivors include her children; Terri (Vernon) Prosser, of Seneca, and Kevin (Jill) Linscheid, of Matthews, NC. other survivors include her grandchildren; Trevor, and Kaitlyn Linscheid, Kimball, Mallory, and Myles Prosser. 

Phyllis was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, in Weaverville, NC. She was a registered nurse where she spent most of her nursing career as a NICU Nurse at Mission Hospital, in Asheville, NC. Some of her special hobbies were taking pictures, especially of her family and church activities, she had a servant heart that was demonstrated through the way she cared and prayed for others. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00PM on Friday, April, 10, 2026, at Christ United Methodist Church in Weaverville, NC.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gentiva Hospice (Gentiva Foundation). gentivahs.com.
