Age 83, of Peters Township, on Monday, May 13, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Deane A. Lopus; Loving mother of Allen M. Lopus & wife Tanya and John V. Lopus & wife Jennifer; Cherished grandmother of Conor Deane, Nathan Patrick, Anna Mary and Riley Grace; Treasured daughter of the late Charles and Mary Vignevic; Caring sister of Donna Painter; Dear aunt of Charles (Suzanne) Painter and Sherri (Ira) Pataki; also survived by many loving cousins. Phyllis was an elementary school teacher over 40 years at Mt. Lebanon School District. Her family was always her number one priority. Every year, her family would go to Jumonville and attend Family Week Camp. Phyllis was on the Jumonville Family Week Council for over 40 years. Phyllis was also the "Original Soccer Mom" cheering on her sons and all of her grandchildren. In retirement, Phyllis enjoyed traveling with her friends, Kitty, Glema, and Betty. They traveled to the Holy Land, London, Ireland, Seattle, California and so many more. Phyllis will be dearly missed by all.
Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS, Friends welcome at 2828 Washington Road, Peters Twp., 724-941-3211, on Wednesday 2-8PM. A Funeral Service will be held at Christ United Methodist Church, 44 Highland Road, Bethel Park, PA 15102 on Thursday at 11AM. Everyone please meet at church. Interment will be private.
