Phyllis Sue Mattingly

Phyllis Sue Mattingly, age 82, passed away on December 31, 2025, at Frankfort Regional Hospital in Frankfort, Kentucky.
Sue retired from owning and managing Sue's Laundry in Paris, Kentucky, which she operated for 30 years. She truly loved working with the public and cherished meeting the citizens of Paris, forming many lasting friendships throughout the community. Sue was known for her kindness, warm smile, and dedication to her work.
Above all else, Sue loved being surrounded by her family-especially her grandchildren-and her beloved dog, Mattie, who brought her great comfort and joy.
Sue is survived by her brother Roger Shearer, her sister Joyce Jones, her daughters, Hope Deakins (Billy) and Phyllis Williams. She was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents Cecil Shearer and Ethel Shearer, her beloved husband of 37 yrs Robert C. Mattingly; her son, Johnnie Drury; her daughter, Susan Brinegar; her granddaughter Stephanie Drury.
Services will be graveside and will be announced at later date.
