Phyllis E. Merchant

Phyllis Merchant, 81, of Neptune, NJ, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Manor by the Sea, Ocean Grove, NJ. She was born in Kingston, Jamaica to Ethel Maude Russell and Ishmeal Merchant.
Phyllis was educated in Kingston and migrated to the United States in the 1980s. She resided in Manasquan, NJ before moving to Neptune, NJ 15 years ago. She was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, Tinton Falls, for over 30 years.
Phyllis was employed as a Home Health Aide for Family and Children's Services as well as Carefinders. She worked with Burnt Tavern Nursing Home as a nurse's aide for many years until she retired about 10 years ago.
She was predeceased by her parents, sister, Ivy Russell, and brother, Roy Grant. She is survived by her daughter, Kadian Kingston, grandsons, Shemar and Rojaye Kingston, loving sister, Delpha Long of Tinton Falls, NJ and a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and friends.
