Phyllis Ochiuto Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Logan Funeral Home, Inc. - Philadelphia on Feb. 23, 2026.
Phyllis Eleanor Ochiuto (née Stricker), 85 of Philadelphia passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026.

Born on July 31, 1940, Phyllis lived a life rooted in faith, family and love. She was known for her incredibly funny and caring personality a woman who could make anyone laugh while also keeping her family in line with that special kind of loving strength only she possessed.

Phyllis was the devoted sister of Dorothy Blankenship (Hank), Susan, Maryann, Paul (Linda), and Josephine. She was preceded in death by her beloved siblings Martha, Charles, and David.

She was the devoted mother of Carmela, Veronica, and Angelina. A proud and loving grandmother to Alaina, Marie, Angelica, Krista, Nicholas, Veronica, Denica, Alysa, Tatiana, Mark Jr., Kayla, Victoria, Ariana and Thomas.

Her legacy continues through her cherished great-grandchildren: Egypt, Rodney Jr., Milan, Kash, Asaad, and Kairo.

Phyllis found her greatest joy in her family. She loved spending summers down the shore in Wildwood, attending church, cooking and baking for those she loved, and filling her home with warmth and laughter. She cherished holidays surrounded by family and especially looked forward to ringing in the New Year and going to the Mummers Parade strutting on Broad St was a tradition she truly enjoyed. She was famous for always having a house full of family and friends her door was always open to everyone. She was also known for her phone calls just to check in, always making sure those she loved were doing well.

Phyllis' strength, humor, and unwavering love will forever live on in the hearts of her family. While she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort knowing she is now at peace, free from pain and reunited with loved ones who went before her.

Her memory will be carried on in every family gathering, every holiday tradition, every home-cooked meal and every song that reminds them of her.
